As a grand finale to their 43-city North American tour, the extraordinary dancers of Ailey II return to New York City and will be featured in The Joyce’s 1.2.3. Festival from April 30th – May 8th.
Ailey II is comprised of 12 of the finest young dancers from around the world and this is your chance to catch them up-close! Under the artistic direction of Sylvia Waters, the Ailey II name has become synonymous with exciting modern dance and dazzling style. Ailey II will be performing 4 all new works during the 1.2.3 Festival; Troy Powell’s The External Knot, Stephane Boko’s Fragile, Christopher L. Huggins’s When Dawn Comes…and Chang Yong Sung’s Requiem.
